 All logs are hardwood, usually a mixture of ash, beech , sycamore, oak etc. most of which are sourced from tree surgery in the local area. All logs are well seasoned and mostly stored under cover ready for delivery.
An average log is 8" - 9" long and approximately 3" - 4" round or split. Logs can be cut smaller or can be cut up to any length or size especially for log burning stoves. Please make any special requirements known at the time of ordering.
The best place to store your logs is inside out of the rain. If they are stored outside, ideally they should be kept on some old pallets or something similar to allow the air to circulate. Keep the rain from the logs with a sheet of tarpaulin.
Loads of logs are delivered free locally (minimum order applies) by the trailor full, which is 1 - 3 cubic metres or multiples of this quantity. Areas covered include North Yorkshire, County Durham, Richmondshire, Yorkshire Dales from our base in Darlington.
